I went to the doctor today and they finally have a date for the induction! Yippee!! I get induced next Monday (the 10th) at 9:00 pm. So I probably won't have him until Tuesday morning. Hope I can get some sleep!
Yay!! So nice to know he will definitely be here by next Tuesday. Are you having a foley or cervadil induction? Is that why you are going in at night? Good luck - I will be anxiously awaiting an update!
That's a cervadil induction. Foley inductions they put a balloon type thing in to help you dilate. Normally they do those when you are over due and not dilating on your own though so that's funny that they are doing that to you. Good luck trying to sleep though. My water broke in the evening of the 6th but my body wouldn't contract so I laid there all night long and couldn't sleep and was so tired the next day when I had her. I would ask for a morning regular induction if I were you. They are soo much better unless you aren't dilated enough to get one then I would go ahead with the night induction. That's exciting that it won't be too much longer though
ashley- congrats! i got induced with kyle at 37 weeks, it was so nice!! hope everything goes good!!our new house in in IF, north of the mall and all the shopping area.
Isn't it great to have a scheduled induction? I loved that about Jude's birth. There is enough to worry about without that constant when? on your mind. I can't wait to see pictures of your little guy! Good luck!
yeah - straight pit inductions are NO GOOD if your body isn't ready, so the cervadil is probably a good idea. With Chandler I was supposed to have a nighttime cervadil induction. The nurse sent me home though, saying I was effaced enough...only 60%...whatever! So the next morning when they started pit was only a 1 and 60%. I labored for soooo long and the pit stressed him out really badly. Good luck!
Congrats! I know you were hoping to go naturally, but the induction will be fine and now you know exactly when you'll be holding your little guy. That is so exciting. I wouldn't be able to handle myself - I am NOT good at biding time when I am excited about something. Good luck and I can't wait to see little Gavin! :o)

OK Tiff, i have no clue what those inductions are, they are just going to give me that gel stuff and let me dilate a while until they give me pitocin.
