KT tape and Yoga

It's been a long time since I last wrote so let's back up.
Stomach. I tried KT tape back in September 2013.
I had gone to the chiropractor about a hip flexor pain and they recommended it. So I thought it might work on my Diastasis Recti too.

Maybe it would have if I didn't sweat, but once I went to a yoga class it would fall right off.
Fail.

As of February 2014 I have exclusively been doing yoga 5-6 days a week.
I have found myself being happy with my body and I don't have the need to do any other form of exercise anymore.

It's been amazing to see my journey unfold in 2 different ways.
1. I no longer worry about what my body looks like in the mirror. I know I'm not perfect, but I don't dwell on the imperfections.

2. It's been amazing to see how much progress my body has made in a short period of time. I used to not be able to lift my head off the ground in back bend and slowly but surely I've opened up. I also can do the splits for the first time in my life. I remember trying as a teenager so I could be on the dance line at school, but never could. Now at age 30 I can do the splits! Crazy.

Some yoga

I have been taking yoga classes for the past year and I've really improved. Here are some of my inversions.

I'm sure I'll look back at these once I'm improved more and discover all my bad posture, but it will help me see my progress this way :)

Just working out

I haven't tried any crazy remedies lately. Just the good ol' fashion working out.

On May 9th I started a DVD program called Pretty Fierce Lean Out by Lindsay Brin.

Now, you ARE NOT supposed to do these DVDs if you have Diastasis Recti, which I do. BUT I really felt like I could benefit from this workout regimen so I've been doing it anyway.

Here are my stats from my fitness test and my measurments:

Day 0-Day 21

Dominant Arm: 10"- 10 1/4"
Chest: 33"- 33"
1" Above Navel: 29"-27 1/2"
1" Below Navel: 32"- 30 1/2"
Hips: 37 1/2"- 37"

1" Above knee: 15 1/2"- 15"
Weight (with clothes): 132- 129.6

Diastasis gap: 2 1/4"- 1 3/4"

Check out the measurements in red! Thats good!

Day 0- Day 21

Tried another product, and the results are...

Have you heard of ItWorks?
Well they have these wraps that are supposed to slim you down and tighten skin.

I tried 2 of them (not at the same time) and once again had no change in the appearance of my stomach.

Now you may think I changed the color of my skin, but it's funny what different lighting can do. I wasn't any tanner in the first picture.

So, what to do? I honestly think surgery is my only other option.

Any recommendations in that area?

After 3rd treatment of venus freeze

I forgot to post my after pictures of the venus freeze. My tummy is red because it was immediately after the treatment. I saw zero change so I won't be doing that again. What a waste of money. Grr.

Venus Freeze: 2nd treatment

I still see no change. Lame.
I asked why it is called venus freeze when it is hot and she said it's because it 'freezes' the aging process.

Will nothing work on me?! I only have one more treatment left and I'm not too optimistic about it.

Venus Freeze treatment #1 review/results

I went to get my first venus freeze treatment on my stomach today. Don't let the name fool you; it's HOT!

They rub this really hot element all over for about 20 minutes. Most of the time it wasn't so bad, but every once in awhile it would hit a hot spot and make me flinch. I even have a tiny blister from it (you can't see in the pictures because it's under my pant line.

These pictures were taken this morning before the treatment and then after.

I don't see much of anything yet, but it also all depends on how I am standing. I could make my stomach look better or worse depending on the angle of camera and what not.
